Overview

Mantis is a browser MCP that returns numbered text controls instead of screenshots or accessibility trees. Coding agents such as Claude Code, Codex and Cursor can read and act on pages with fewer tokens. You install it with npx mantis-browser; optional Chrome CDP is supported. The makers publish benchmarks against Playwright MCP on their site.
