Overview
XERJ is an open-source local search tool that indexes a folder automatically so a coding agent fetches only the code it needs rather than opening files individually. One command connects it to Claude Code or Cursor through MCP and a skill, and its main use is reference coding, where the agent indexes similar open-source projects and studies their approach before writing its own. The token-saving figures from the project's own study and user reports were not checked here.
