Overview
Chiplab is an MCP platform from Veecle that lets an AI agent compile, run, and test firmware on a virtual copy of the chip you are building for, with no physical board on hand. The agent connects from an MCP host such as Cursor, Claude Code, or Windsurf, and Chiplab turns each request into a build, a simulation, a test run, or a lookup. Each run returns a verdict, a trace, and register state within seconds. What the runs find is added to a shared corpus of chip-specific fixes that later agents can query.
Key features
- One MCP endpoint with ask, build, run, test, and simulate tools
- Virtual instance of the actual target chip, with peripherals and interrupt timing
- Remote builds with licensed toolchains such as IAR, ARMCC, and HighTec, with nothing to install locally
- Synthetic sensor input such as camera frames, CAN bus, and IMU data
- Shared corpus of chip-specific fixes that grows with each run
- Examples shown for bare-metal Rust, Embassy, Zephyr, and FreeRTOS
