Overview

Craig Hewitt's expense-report skill scans whatever receipts are in a folder, whether PDFs, photos or screenshots, and builds a sorted spreadsheet listing each purchase line plus an HTML dashboard for the period. It needs no setup and picks up your category structure over time. It is meant for monthly or quarterly bookkeeping and tax preparation.

  • Turn receipt photos into an expense workbook and summarySkrun's receipts-to-expenses skill has an agent read a set of receipt photos, pull out the vendor, date, amount and other details, and sort each one into an expense category. It can match the receipts against a bank export if you supply one. The output is an Excel file with several sheets and a short PDF summary to hand to an accountant.Business automationExpenses
  • Manage Xero invoices, contacts and reports through the Xero CLIXero's skill teaches an agent to use the official xero command-line tool to read and update accounting data in your Xero organisation. It covers customers and suppliers, bills and sales documents, payments, bank transactions, journals, tax rates, reports and file attachments, and it has the agent look up record IDs before changing anything. You sign in yourself with a browser-based login, or provide tokens through environment variables in automated setups. Only documents still in draft status can be edited. The CLI stores its tokens in plain text under ~/.config/xero-command-line, so protect that folder and prefer the interactive login.Business automationAccountingXero
  • Prepare quarterly tax estimates and 1099 lists for your accountantAnthropic's tax-season-organizer skill gathers tax-season material for a small business's accountant and says plainly that it is not tax advice. It covers US federal tax in two modes: a quarterly estimated tax figure from year-to-date net income in the accounting ledger (QuickBooks, Xero, Zoho Books, MYOB or NetSuite), and year-end 1099-NEC preparation that finds contractors paid more than 600 US dollars in the ledger, Stripe or PayPal and flags missing W-9 forms. A business outside the US gets a closed-books packet instead. It expects the period's books to be closed and reconciled first.Business automationAnthropicKnowledge work plugins
  • Prepare financial statements with variance analysisThis skill builds a P&L, a statement of financial position, and a cash-flow report for a month or quarter. It compares each period with the prior one or with budget, flags large variances, and adds a short key-metrics summary. It also includes GAAP layout notes and typical closing entries.Business automationFinanceReporting
  • Turn a pile of bills into coded entries and a payment run you approveAnthropic's ap-processor skill, from its small-business plugin, takes bills and supplier statements from an accounts-payable inbox, PDFs or phone photos and extracts the supplier, total, due date and individual lines. It assigns each bill to an account and job, compares it with the matching PO and receiving record, and shows you the overall picture first. It then stages entries in NetSuite, Xero or QuickBooks and proposes which bills to pay, each needing its own yes. It works on your books and payments, so each entry and payment needs your approval.Business automationAccounts payableSmall business
