Overview

Agent-code is an open-source AI agent you install with pip and run on your own Windows, Linux or Mac computer. It browses with a real headless Chromium, runs a limited set of allowed shell commands inside its workspace folder, plans with to-do lists and can hand research to sub-agents with a fresh context. You add skills by dropping a folder in place and extend it with Python add-ons. It accepts any endpoint that speaks the OpenAI API, such as OpenAI, Groq, DeepSeek or a local vLLM server. It runs shell commands and browses on your computer, so start in read-only or ask mode.

Key features

  • Headless Chromium browsing
  • Allowlisted shell locked to the workspace
