Overview

Argus is an open-source, self-hosted security operations platform that watches for attacks across cloud accounts, identity systems, code, endpoints, networks and Kubernetes. AI agents triage and investigate alerts with read-only tools and can suggest fixes, while response actions are typed, checked against policy, tried as a dry run first and can be undone, with approvals possible from Slack. It also includes an AI gateway for OpenAI and Anthropic traffic, decoys that catch rogue agents, an attack simulator and a signed audit trail. It is a very new project, first published in October 2026. Its response actions can block users and hosts, so start in its shadow mode.
