Overview

agend is a hosted service that gives an AI agent its own isolated Linux environment to work in through MCP. Terminal sessions persist between tool calls, and the service signals when a program is waiting for input, so the agent can answer installers, REPLs, database shells and editors such as Vim. It can also run background tasks, move files and expose a browser preview you can open yourself. It is meant for interactive jobs where a plain API or script falls short.

Key features

  • Persistent terminal sessions over MCP
  • Signals when a program waits for input
  • REPLs, database shells and editors
  • Shareable previews and a shell you can open
